Portfolio
Whole Blood
The most common type of blood donation, where a person donates approximately one pint of their blood. This donation includes red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Various anticoagulants are available including K2 EDTA, K3 EDTA, CPD, Li Heparin, Na Heparin, Potassium Oxolate etc.
Red Blood Cells (RBC’s)
Crucial for diagnostic purposes, primarily within a complete blood count (CBC). They provide valuable insights into overall health and can help identify a wide range of conditions, including anemia, dehydration, and various blood disorders. RBC’s can be collected in various anticoagulants similar to whole blood.
Recovered Plasma
Clear, straw-colored liquid portion of anti-coagulated whole blood donations that remains after the cellular components (like red blood cells, platelets, and white blood cells) have been separated. It's a by-product of whole blood donations where the main goal is to collect other components, like red blood cells or platelets. Recovered plasma is typically collected in CPD. Other anticoagulants are possible.
Off the Clot Serum
A type of serum obtained from whole blood that is allowed to clot naturally, with the fibrin clot subsequently removed. This process results in a serum that retains various growth factors and other compounds naturally present in whole blood.
Silica Clotted Serum
Silica clotted serum is an alternative to off the clot serum where silica can be added to ensure the serum coagulates quickly instead of the 48 hours it takes to clot naturally.
Specialty Whole Blood/RBC’s
Specialty whole blood collections requiring additional donor specifications such as BMI, alcohol consumption, menopause state, A1c etc.
Normal Plasma
Normal plasma collected in sodium citrate can be used for both diagnostic and fractionation applications. All units are collected in FDA licensed facilities within the US. All units are tested for FDA required viral markers using FDA approved test methods.
Specialty Plasma
Specialty plasma includes bulk plasma or serum units including antibody positive, infectious, autoimmune and other markers. These materials are used as diluents in the manufacture of positive and negative controls, in research and in clinical reference laboratories.
Clinical Samples
Internal and external capabilities for remnant and prospective collections. External sites in both the US and Ex US. Our Internal collection capabilities include normal, healthy participants as well as some specialty collections (diabetics, BMI, smokers, alcohol consumption etc.). All collections are IRB compliant and ethically sourced.
